OLIVER Sports has been selected to participate in this year’s MLS Innovation Lab. This news undoubtedly marks a significant step in OLIVER Sports' expansion in the United States, alongside a prestigious partner like Major League Soccer.

MLS Innovation Lab: Where Soccer Grows

The MLS Innovation Lab, launched in 2023, seeks to identify innovative technologies that can contribute to the growth of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the broader soccer ecosystem in the U.S. It connects startups with the 30 league franchises, youth academies, and development leagues, providing them with a unique platform to test and scale their solutions.

Last year's cohort of the MLS Innovation Lab included A-Champs, CAMB.AI, Fabric, Fitogether, Reeplayer, and STAIDIUM U.S. These companies were chosen for their ability to meet the needs of the MLS Innovation Lab’s three priority areas: fan engagement, media tech, and performance monitoring.

The first edition of the MLS Innovation Lab was a success, offering a structured platform for collaboration between tech companies and MLS in real-world environments. With the second edition underway, OLIVER Sports has been selected after a rigorous evaluation process that reviewed applications from startups worldwide.

OLIVER Sports expands across all sectors of football, from professional to amateur, men’s, women’s, futsal, youth, and more.

For OLIVER Sports, this selection represents a valuable opportunity to bring its performance monitoring technology to a new audience in a rapidly growing soccer market.

OLIVER Sports: Innovation in Sports Monitoring

OLIVER Sports’ AI-powered GPS devices provide youth players with personalized insights into their performance, helping them improve their skills and prevent injuries. These tools have the potential to shape the future of youth soccer in the U.S., a key focus area for the country’s league.

As soccer continues to rise in popularity in the U.S.—now the second most-played sport among young people aged 12 to 24—the opportunity to develop the next generation of players has never been more relevant. OLIVER Sports' participation in the MLS Innovation Lab aligns with this movement, as the league seeks to enhance youth development through innovation and advanced performance technology.

OLIVER Sports devices can be used by both teams and individual players.

This program also provides OLIVER Sports with the opportunity to showcase its technology in highly competitive environments, gaining visibility within MLS and the SportTech industry. With over 25 million registered players and soccer cementing itself as a growing sport in the U.S., the timing couldn’t be better for the expansion of performance technologies in youth soccer.

As OLIVER Sports continues to support the development of future talent, its participation in the MLS Innovation Lab paves the way for greater integration into the U.S. soccer landscape.
