Historic participations for both National Teams In June, the Portuguese Women’s National Team played in this tournament for the first time, and also achieved their first-ever victory, against Montenegro in the final game of the group stage. The players are already preparing to keep breaking records and adding new milestones for Portuguese basketball. ![Portugal in Eurobasket](https://blog.oliversports.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/WhatsApp%20Image%202025-09-19%20at%2012.19.32.jpeg?width=1024&height=512&name=WhatsApp%20Image%202025-09-19%20at%2012.19.32.jpeg)*Portugal defeated Estonia 68–65 to secure its spot in the final stage.* On the other hand, the Portuguese Men’s National Team qualified again for the tournament after not doing so since 2011. But that wasn’t all—they also advanced beyond the group stage for the first time ever, after winning two games against the Czech Republic and Estonia. In this way, the Portuguese team reached the final stage, where the 16 best teams of the tournament competed. Portugal was eventually eliminated by the team that would later be crowned champion: Germany. ## OLIVER PRO, Portugal’s ally in historic participations In mid-2025, the Portuguese Basketball Federation incorporated OLIVER PRO into its national teams with the goal of making the long-awaited leap forward. This agreement represented a huge step for both OLIVER Sports and basketball innovation: for the first time, a National Basketball Team used OLIVER PRO in a top-tier international competition.x ![4-May-14-2025-04-11-32-2653-PM](https://blog.oliversports.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/4-May-14-2025-04-11-32-2653-PM.png?width=960&height=540&name=4-May-14-2025-04-11-32-2653-PM.png) *OLIVER PRO combines wearable tracking devices with an AI-powered platform, enabling performance coaches to analyze every detail of players’ performance.* Thanks to this technology, the Portuguese staff began tracking key metrics such as player workload, high-intensity efforts, basketball-specific metrics, and injury risk. All of this, without requiring extra infrastructure, since OLIVER PRO works perfectly in indoor environments. ## Why is this relevant? Because it marks the beginning of a new era in basketball performance. The use of data to support decision-making has fully entered the sport, which due to its intensity, dynamism, and injury risks requires adapted tools like OLIVER PRO. ![3-Aug-21-2025-02-40-07-4399-PM](https://blog.oliversports.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/3-Aug-21-2025-02-40-07-4399-PM.png?width=760&height=428&name=3-Aug-21-2025-02-40-07-4399-PM.png)*Portugal trusts OLIVER PRO to reach its best version, and at OLIVER Sports we are proud to accompany them in this historic stage.* ## Want more information about OLIVER PRO in Basketball? ➡️ If you’d like to learn more about how OLIVER PRO works in basketball, visit our article: [Basketball Physical Preparation: All About Monitoring Technology](https://blog.oliversports.ai/en/basketball-tech?hsLang=en) ➡️ If you want to know how OLIVER PRO can help your team, [click here to visit our website](https://oliversports.ai/oliver-pro). #### [Fill out the form to receive a quote and equip your squad with OLIVER PRO](https://oliversports.ai/oliver-pro) ### Consigue presupuesto para tu equipo   ### Leave a Comment ## Related Articles [![tecnología en Hockey sobre Césped](https://blog.oliversports.ai/hubfs/Blog%20Hockey%201.png)](https://blog.oliversports.ai/en/tecnologia-en-hockey?hsLang=en) ### [The Technology Hockey Teams Are Choosing in 2026](https://blog.oliversports.ai/en/tecnologia-en-hockey?hsLang=en) Hockey is one of the sports with the highest demands for agility and precision.
